ARRIVAL

  • You must not attend if you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days.
  • If possible you should have had a negative lateral flow test within the preceding 12 hours of the dance session. This is the quick test you can do yourself.
  • You should be up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations to reduce the risk to yourselves.
  • You no longer have to prebook except for our big dances which are prior ticket only, but it would be helpful if you notify the Secretary (01252547461) if you can’t attend.
  • Unless you are part of the cleaning party, please do not arrive before 13:45 to allow time for the hall to be sanitised.
  • You will enter by the main entrance and try to keep at least 1m plus from other attendees other than your dance partner.
  • We recommend wearing face masks on entering and leaving the hall and when moving around the building such as visiting the toilets or kitchen.
  • All seating, work surfaces and door handles will have been sprayed with COVID-19 effective sanitiser.
  • To make the Treasurer’s job easier and safer it would help if you bring the exact money please (£3.50 per person members and £4 visitors).

SOCIAL DISTANCING & VENTILATION

  • Adequate ventilation will be provided by opening the hall’s windows and fire exit doors where necessary.  The CO2 levels will be monitored and maintained at <1000ppm (target <800ppm) by adjusting the ventilation to minimise any airborne viral concentration. Please wrap up warm during the winter.
  • You must follow all social distancing instructions provided by the Dance Teachers.

HYGIENE

  • Hand sanitiser must be used on arrival and at frequent intervals through the afternoon.  Sanitiser will be situated at the entrance to the main hall, on the stage and in the kitchen.
  • To minimise viral transmission there should be no physical contact between anyone other than dance partners e.g. no handshaking, hugging and kissing.

THE PROGRAMME

  • As cleaning by the Committee must take place before attendees arrive and after they depart; the dance programme is planned to start at 14:00 and finish at 16:15 latest (live music dances will run from 14:30 to 17:30).
  • Normally refreshments will be brought around the room on a trolley to avoid queuing by the kitchen. Biscuits will be individually wrapped.  Attendees may bring their own refreshments but must take their own litter back with them.  Refreshments must not be shared. Disposable cups will be provided.
  • Please only dance within your physical limits and don’t push yourselves.

DEPARTURE

  • Exit may be via the side door, but you will be directed.  Please try to stay at least 1m plus from other people while waiting to exit.

The website will be kept up to date with any changes to these guidelines.  Looking forward to seeing you all again dancing normally.
